Shimla Map'Prepare your eyes to witness the splendor of nature", this is Shimla all about. Majestic mountains, at rest since years, covered by blankets of alpine deodar, fir and pine, it is rightly called the 'Queen of Hills.' Snow covered mountains dancing in the moonlight in winters, pleasant aromatic breezes during summer; Shimla retains its beauty through out the year.

Once the summer capital for Britishers, Shimla has breath taking scenic beauty, British flavored architecture and soul captivating ambience. Now serving as the capital of Himachal Pradesh, Shimla was discovered by Britishers after the Gorkha war. It is believed that Shimla got its name from Indian deity Kali, also known as Shyamala Devi.

As compared to other hill stations, Shimla has a cosmopolitan crowd, which can be seen flaunting on Mall, which is the heart of the city.
