Built in 1930 by Maharaja Sawai Man Singh-II of Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur Lodge is a wonderful heritage hotel to stay in. By the Maharaja, it was used as a lodge of hunting trips to the jungles of Ranthambhore, which were the favourite hunting grounds of the royal family of Jaipur. The former hunting Sawai Madhopur Lodge of the rulers of Jaipur is set amidst 12 acres of spacious gardens and is a 20-minute drive from Ranthambhor National Park.
